echo "Queenstown| Attractions | Tours | Queenstown is the largest town on Tasmania's west coast and for decades was a significant centre for mining and forestry. Both industries have significantly reduced from the hey days but the effects of mining is a strong feature with the still bare hills surrounding Queenstown caused by sulphur fumes from the copper smelters killing the vegetation. Today visitors can tour the historical mining sites, enjoy trout fishing, visit the nearby World Heritage Area and take a ride on the heritage Wilderness Railway into the rain forest.
